Your First Capture

Snapr keeps the whole capture flow in one place: activate capture mode, choose what to capture, take the shot, and continue from the result.

Take a screenshot#

1. Click the Snapr tray icon, or use the capture shortcut.
2. Select Screenshot in the capture bar.
3. Choose Region, Window, or Screen as the target.
4. For a region, drag over the area you want to keep. For a window or screen, select the target directly.
5. Click Capture or press Enter when the control bar is ready.

Snapr saves the image and shows it in the floating preview. From there you can copy it, reveal it in the captures folder, open the editor, or run another action.

Record your screen#

1. Activate capture mode and select Recording.
2. Choose a region, window, or full screen.
3. Turn system audio, microphone, or camera capture on if needed.
4. Click Record or press Enter to start. If the countdown is enabled, use the countdown to prepare your screen.
5. Finish the recording from the capture controls or tray menu.

The recording opens in the floating preview when it is ready. Open the timeline editor to trim it, adjust audio, add effects, or export a finished video.

Try another capture source#

The capture bar also includes specialized sources:

• Scroll stitches a long, scrollable page into one image.
• Clipboard uses an image already copied to your system clipboard.
• Device captures a connected iPhone or iPad on macOS.

Find your captures later#

Every completed capture can be opened again from Capture History or the Captures folder. If you want to change what happens after a capture, open Settings → Capture → After capture completes.
